Emergency Management Institute Ireland (EMII)
The 2017 AGM of the ROI Branch of the Emergency Planning Society (EPS) mandated the Branch Committee to pursue negotiations to cede from the UK based EPS and to establish a new Irish based emergency management organisation. This new organisation, the Emergency Management Institute Ireland (EMII) launches on January 1, 2018.
The EMII is the primary professional organisation for individuals engaged in emergency and crisis management in the Republic of Ireland. Members operate in the professional, technical, voluntary or academic areas of emergency management.
The EMII hosts emergency/crisis management events, seminars and site visits countrywide.
EMII Members are affiliated with the UK based Emergency Planning Society. This entitles EMII Members to the following;
– Access to the EPS website, including the resources section.
– An e-copy of the EPS ‘Resilience’ magazine
– Participation in EPS Professional Working Groups (PWGs)
– Attendance at EPS (UK) events at full cost
– Access to the EPS CPD points system
The membership fee structure is designed to ensure financial independence of the EMII, enabling the Institute to host and support member events throughout the country.
