Inter-Agency Exercise “Barracuda” 2018
An Inter-Agency Marauding Terrorist Fire Arms (MTFA) Exercise will be taking place in DCU on Friday 16th November at 19.00. This is a Garda led exercise, with participation from all PRAs; An Garda Síochána, HSE National Ambulance Service, Dublin City Council / Dublin Fire Brigade and the Defence Forces.
The exercise scenario will take the format of an initial terrorist attack using a vehicle, following with gunfire, a hostage situation and ending with a fire. There will be numerous casualties and fatalities requiring close coordination of all emergency services, command and control, triage and transport.
This exercise will be formally evaluated for learning and recommendations in a future exercise report and seminar. The entire exercise activity will be captured by static and roaming CCTV, which will be viewable and narrated to a number of VIP Observers.
