EMII AGM and Breakfast Briefing on the EMII-commissioned report on Core Competencies for Emergency Managers in Ireland – 2nd May 2025 – 08:30 AM – DCU Business School

Our next EMII AGM and Breakfast Briefing will take place on Friday, May 2nd 2025, at DCU Business School.

We are pleased to mark the release of the EMII-commissioned report on core competencies for emergency managers in Ireland. The research, led by Professor Caroline McMullan at DCU, was undertaken to define the professional competencies required in emergency management roles. This report sets out a core competency framework to inform training, education, and ongoing professional development within the EMII and may inform professional development across the sector.

This EMII event will include a presentation of the report’s key findings, followed by a discussion with members of EMII. This will provide an opportunity to reflect on the implications of the research and consider how the proposed framework may be implemented in practice.
